What kind of language options do secondary schools offer to immersion students?

What materials are available for use in secondary programs for immersion students?

How do AP programs serve immersion students?

Teachers and administrators of immersion programs from all languages have expressed an interest in discussing middle and secondary paths/options for the students in their immersion programs as the move to middle and high schools.

This second MAIN/MDE Networking event will provide an opportunity for immersion schools to network and hear from schools who currently offer some type of continuation program for their immersion students; learn what the programs offer; ask about the challenges and benefits to the students; discuss the challenges for middle and high school language teachers in serving immersion students and provide time to network to discuss these issues and share resources.

We hope you and teachers who teach in your continuation programs can join us at the Minnesota Department of Education, Conference C enter A. Room CC 14.

A light dinner will be provided.
