Technology as an Accelerator of Learning

You are invited to attend the sixth annual Minnetonka Public Schools Technology Site Visit on Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 7:30am - 1:45pm. See firsthand how technology serves as an accelerator of learning and hear how Minnetonka Public Schools effectively integrates technology into everyday activities K-12. Join teachers, instructional leaders and technology staff from around the region for an in-depth, behind-the scenes tour to see the power of technology and discuss innovation in instruction. More information about the tours, as well as articles and over 30 videos of technology use in Minnetonka, is available online at

Each visitor will choose up to three of the tours listed below:

Early Childhood & Adult Community Education Center
·
English and
Spanish Immersion
Classrooms at Deephaven Elementary (with newly remodeled Media Center) Grades K-5
·
English and
Chinese Immersion
Classrooms at Scenic Heights Elementary Grades K-5
·
Middle School East Grades 6-8
·
Minnetonka High School Grades 9-12
Bus transportation between the school tours as well as lunch will be provided. There will be two times for breakout sessions after the tours to learn more and ask questions. Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes from local vendors. Past prizes included a Planet Turtle school subscription, laptops, SMART Boards, and much more. Check the website for the current list of donations.
To allow room for visitors from multiple districts to attend, please coordinate with others from your district/company so that no more than six attendees register. Registration is $50 per person on a first come, first served basis.
